Lisa Chakrabarti

Lisa Chakrabarti creates original paintings / drawings in oil, watercolor, pastel, and graphite. Florals remain one of the Artist's favorite subjects and flowers and gardens are present in much of the artists work. A view of a chair and deck of a beach house looking out to the sea and sky, an idyllic tropical sunset, with silhouettes of palm trees against a glowing back drop of sky or a fluffy bouquet of blue and white Hydrangea, commonly known as "Snowballs", in a brass pitcher set upon a floor of terra cotta tile - all her subjects contain a common thread of both familiarity and intimacy. Chakrabarti's desire is to reveal the grandeur and emotion which often reside within the simple and commonplace.
